The winter of 2018 was tough on Whale Rock Lavender Farm.
Day after day of single digit temperatures were just too much for sections of our lavender fields and we lost a lot of plants.
We have re-grouped and re-planted so we’ll bounce back for next spring.
The plants that did survive were exceptionally beautiful, with rich hues of blue and purple.
The fragrance of a few of the varieties was deeper and more pronounced than ever!
We now have 2 whale-shaped fields and one rectangular field.
The farm continues to be the home to a family of turkeys (we have counted 14), birds, teenagers and farmers!
