The winter of 2018 was tough on Whale Rock Lavender Farm.<\/p>\n
Day after day of single-digit temperatures was just too much for sections of our lavender fields and we lost a lot of plants.<\/p>\n
We have re-grouped and re-planted so we’ll bounce back for next spring.<\/p>\n
The plants that did survive were exceptionally beautiful, with rich hues of blue and purple.<\/p>\n
The fragrance of a few of the varieties was deeper and more pronounced than ever!<\/p>\n
We now have 2 whale-shaped fields and one rectangular field.<\/p>\n
The farm continues to be the home to a family of turkeys (we have counted 14), birds, teenagers, and farmers!<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
